NCAA Basketball: Whose Jersey will be Retired?

Madness. So far, that's exactly what this year's Big Dance has been, and there's still quite a bit of action in-store for this coming weekend. What sort of crazy world do we live in when the overall #1 seed, Kansas, is on the plane ride home, and the eggheads from Cornell are still practicing layups on the tournament hardwood?

A lot of people like to make bold predictions at this stage in the tournament, usually to distract attention from their atrocious brackets, which by now are covered in large X's and blotches of red ink.

But instead of making even more soon-to-be-inaccurate predictions, perhaps it's best to look far further into the future, into the crystal ball of the NBA. Who will be leading a professional team to a championship in the next 5 years? Which current NCAA Tournament nobody might dust off the rust and show some value in the big leagues?

Take a stroll with us down memory lane with the Retired Jerseys App. Remember Bill Russell? How 'bout Wilt "the Stilt" Chamberlain? Do John Wall and Evan Turner have what it takes to be similarly enshrined? Here's our predictions: Sign-up Mr. Wall for a retired jersey slot right now--he'll have a championship within 5 years of being drafted into the NBA. As for Mr. Turner? Pencil him in. He'll be a Scottie Pippen: not the best, but a key role player to a successful franchise.
